About KTNet Africa

Background

KTNET Africa is a network of eight research coalitions with membership of a coalition of researchers from Rwanda, Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, Ethiopia, Ghana, Senegal, Mali and South Africa. 

The overall aim of this network is to promote and support the uptake and use of research evidence generated by our coalition partners who are funded by the Global Health Policy and Health Systems research programme (GHPHSR).

Our Mission

To support translation of health systems evidence into policy and action across sub-Saharan Africa

Our Objectives

  • To host a shared platform for knowledge translation (KT) across the eight coalitions funded by the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO).
  • To build knowledge translation capacity among the eight coalitions funded by NWO and relevant groups of stakeholders.
  • To support knowledge translation activities across the network by providing technical support and competitive KT targeted small grants.
  • To assess/evaluate the KT effects across the network so as to identify and document best practices.
